I plan on making some pillows and painting a few very dainty chairs in very pale creamy pink today.
Looking forward to the weekend, hoping to find some awesome yard sales and a bit of gardening with my 9 year old daughter Isabella.
Last weekend I found a mirror at a second hand store and almost didn't buy it because it needed a lot of work, but glad I did buy it. It actually came out really nice. Picked a few roses from the garden to add a lovely Spring garden look in my living room.... and now to sit back with a cup of tea out of a pretty teacup and enjoy the morning before it gets crazy.
Top part of the mirror was missing the original details and the frame was broken from couple of places.
I had a salvage piece from another furniture and a few decorative accents from another project.
Glued them on with a wood glue and let it dry over night.
Used a dark gray paint and gold leafing, bit of distressing and finished it with a light stain.
Spent $15.00 and I have a new mirror!
Well I hope you liked my mirror transformation and my Spring roses.
Wishing you a very happy and creative day!
With love always, Angela

Your mirror is so pretty and unique. You did a great job on it. The roses from your garden are lovely, and mine are just starting to bloom too. They are a darker pink, but gradually turn into a lighter pink. I hope you had fun with your daughter in the garden. Spending time with family is one of our greatest gifts.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week.

Very impressive. You did an outstanding job on that mirror. It looks like it always always that way. Your photos bring me great joy. So many beautiful details and unique pieces to look at. I particularly love the blue and white vase. Stunning. And those flowers are perfection. I just noticed that I was not following you. But I took care of that right away friend. Have a lovely week Angela. Always a pleasure to visit.
